We are seeking to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor who will be part of the Quantity Surveying Team for the Site Works.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow up variations to the Works, site instructions, disruptions, in accordance to contractual obligations
- Prepare list of claims, delays and additional works
- Prepare, submit and discuss, with a view to obtain early approval for monthly applications for payment to ensure the optimum cash flow
- Study the Method of Measurement for the Contract and put into effect the early submission and agreement of Final Measure and Final Accounts including pinpointing and notification of “measurement claims”
- Make notification in good time, submit and agree records in respect of Insurance Claims (storm damage, flood damage, fire damage etc.), submit losses and negotiation with Loss Adjusters and Insurers
- Study in depth the Tender and Contract Documents, including the Drawings and Specifications, for any “loopholes”, peculiarities and any particular notification or payment requirements or procedures contained therein and inform the Project Manager accordingly
- Review contracts with nominated specialist and domestic subcontractors and suppliers and monitor their performance throughout the duration of the contract
- Investigate and report to the Project Manager grounds for possible contractual claims, set up proper filing system, co-ordinate as necessary with Sub-contractors, timely notification to the Employer/Independent Engineer, draft of legal and contractual letters and documentation
- Investigate grounds for Extension of Time (and conversely avoiding payment of penalties or Liquidated Damages by the Company), monitor delays and potential delays and co-ordinate with Subcontractors for the proper and timely notification to the Employer, draft of legal and contractual letters, programs and other documents, submit and assist in negotiation and finalization with the Employer
- Monitor and take the necessary action regarding general contractual duties and obligations such as retention releases, issue of completion and maintenance certificates
- Assist in the preparation of Tenders for sub-contracts including pre-contract measurements and pricing
- Any other tasks as specified by the Project Manager related to your professional capacity
Qualifications
- University Degree in Quantity Surveying
- 3-4 years of previous work experience in a similar position is a must
- Excellent use of MS Office
- Very good knowledge of Greek and English language

We are seeking to recruit a Site Civil Engineer for the efficient, timely, cost and quality effective construction of the Site Works, under the directions of the Construction/Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Study Contract documents and familiarize himself/herself with all drawings and specifications
- Identify the peculiarities of the Contract and in consultation with the Construction/Project Manager make the necessary arrangements so that every deadline on the approved Programme is met
- Participate in the Project “kick-off” meeting in order to plan the execution of the Works in co-ordination with the Construction/Project Manager
- Investigate the site conditions, identify special difficulties or obstacles and assist in the preparation of the Programme of Works as well as any other documents required by the Contract in accordance with Company Procedures or as directed by the Construction/Project Manager
- Make sure that the Works are set out on site correctly and in a timely way
- Make sure the necessary materials, plant and labour are available on site so that the daily programmed activities are carried out efficiently
- Supervise all works carried out either by Company personnel or by Subcontractors in accordance with the Specification, the Drawings and other Contractual requirements
- Allocate specific responsibilities to the other site supervisory staff, in co-ordination with the Construction/Project Manager
- Make sure that all safety precautions are taken on site in compliance with any specified Safety requirements or the directives of the Company’s Safety Officer
- Keep continuous contact with the Site Quantity Surveyorfor the preparation of the monthly valuation and the substantiation of any financial claims arising during the execution of the Project
- Prepare reinforcement drawings and bending schedules, as necessary
- Keep daily record of site activities and other relevant information
- Keep record of the rate of productivity for site operations in order that problems of low productivity are identified as early as possible and are dealt with appropriately, in cooperation with the General Foreman
- Participate in the preparation of costing reports, compare actual to tender costs and initiate corrective measures, as necessary
- Supervise on a continuous basis the execution of the Works on site delegating specific functions and tasks to the other site supervisory personnel
- Monitor and control the execution of the Works in co-ordination with the Construction/Project Manager and in accordance with the Contract requirements, the PQP and any other means deemed necessary including but not limited to Programmes of Work, submittal Registers, periodic Progress Meetings, Site Diaries etc.
- Ensure compliance on site with the Quality Assurance requirements of the Project, in accordance with the Project Quality Plan
- Supervise the Safety Programme in liaison with the Safety Officer
- Monitor the progress of the Project and identify and take corrective measures as necessary, in co-operation with the Construction/Project Manager
- Any other tasks as specified by the Construction/Project Manager related to your professional capacity
Qualifications
- University Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5-7 years of previous work experience in a similar position is a must
- Excellent use of MS Office and AutoCAD software
- Very good knowledge of Greek and English language
